So here I go

I started in fused glass with my husband Jim in 2005. I wanted to do something together for our anniversary and he saw a piece of fused glass over a friend's house and mentioned to me he thought he could do that. I jumped on it! I love creating anything artsy and will try anything. After a few years of classes we had quite a collection of fused glass pieces. We did a few shows and sold all of it. We bought a kiln, made a spare bedroom into a glass workroom and we started cutting away. We've had our ups and downs with the kiln, glass, fusing schedules and managing time to get glass in the kiln.  Sometimes all we have time for is slumping bottles. This past year all I could do was pendants and earrings. We only did 1 show this last year. Jim's job has him out of town most of the week. I'm self employed and always catching up on work. 2015 will be our year. Jim is retiring mid summer, I have therapists working in my office space now. We will have time to be more creative, try new methods in the kiln and cut more glass. I'm excited to try this challenge and looking forward to new ideas and learning from this talented group.

If I can just figure out how to blog....and post pictures......this is the 3rd time I've tried to post this.  Whew.
